‘Troglosoma I. Writings’ Valentin Bansac | laura fernández antolín | Sofia Kouloukouri | Manuel Prados | Elena Rocabert | Oxel Urra | Jorge Van den Eynde

Our research was accompanied by Chilean writer Simón Lopez Trujillo, author of the novel The Vast Territory, lover of words, and companion in fiction writing methodologies. Alongside Simon, we’ve encountered the work of authors such as Cristina Rivera Garza, Marosa Di Giorgio, and Juan Rulfo, and artists such as Sofia De Grenade.

Together, we defined a research framework that, taking the ontological and ecological crisis facing our planet as a point of departure, aimed to create an opening onto a territory we were unaccustomed to, the  other~than~human perspectives.

We worked on the development of our creative processes and the production of textual material, starting with two exercises: imagining a non-anthropocentric voice of the Altamira cave and describing the Altamira cave without using any adjectives. Here is a compilation of the texts that arose from our work sessions with Simón.
