This research cluster offers a deep look into the Sundarbans region, with special attention to the geographical, meteorological, and ecological particularities and significance of this vast mangrove forest.  It considers the dramatic effects of climate change in this particular context, both in its environmental but also socioeconomic levels, as well as the myths, gods, and monsters that inhabit this liminal environment, including the omnipresent menace of the Bengal tiger.
