This research library brings into conversation the presence and place of sacred worlds and hidden realms in relation to ongoing struggles against development, infrastructure, and militarisation in Pakistan. These readings explore the centrality of the invisible (ghaib) realm—from which the jinn emerges—in Islamic theology, poetic knowledges, mystical experiences, healing practices, and environmental activism in the Muslim world. These readings unsettle our normative practices of seeing, being, and thinking to explore new methods and new relationalities needed to sense the entanglement of human and more-than-human worlds.
