This research cluster presents many of the references that guided and inspired the video work On the Other Ocean, by Giulia Bruno and Giuseppe Ielasi. These resources include the writings of philosophers and writers, from Aristotle to Pier Paolo Pasolini, who shaped the thinking behind the research project and the visual restitution, to a series of musical influences that led the artists all the way to the choice of the artwork’s title: “On the Other Ocean” from the album by the American composer David Behrman.
