This research cluster expands on the themes of displacement and dispossession, resistance and radical creativity. Bringing forth lessons of Black feminism, it contextualizes the relationship between Black bodies, the Ocean, and strategies of radical transformation through the perspectives of contemporary thinkers and authors such as Adrienne Maree Brown and Alexis Pauline Gumbs. Encompassing publications, academic papers, video material, and online articles, these resources delve deeper into the underlying threads of Fana Fraser’s nesting (2023), its multispecies protagonists, and some of the historical, cultural, and spiritual practices that inform their world views.
