GaiaGuardianxs (2020) is an interactive publication that emerges from three years of research—a personal journey through conflicts connected to the issue of water in Latin America. It examines the complex flows of water in terms of the possibilities for crying, the environmental crisis, and spirituality in the digital era.
The second chapter, titled “Manuel Supepi. The tree comes with the water, it doesn’t come on its own,” focuses on Manuel Supepi, one of the participants of the Tenth Indigenous March, which occupied the main plaza of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, in October 2019, to protest on behalf of the plants, the water, and the animals of Chiquitanía.
