This conversation focuses on the cross-disciplinary and polyphonic working processes that have nurtured “noise ê,” a project halfway between fiction and scientific exploration. It forms an opportunity to unravel these networks of working with scientists, divers, and other artists on questions of perception, vulnerability, and resistance. At the same time it addresses the speculative manner adopted when dealing with the impact of noise on bodies, and attempts to expand perceptual thresholds. As well as the role played by electric rays (the Torpedo torpedo species), a highly resistant and abundant species living in urban underwater areas of the Catalan Mediterranean, and that vertebrate the conversations that have been articulated around the film production.
