Zeina Tarraf Researcher
Zeina Tarraf is an assistant professor of Media Studies at the American University of Beirut where she teaches courses on War and Media, Arab Media and Society, and Visual Culture. Her research interests include feminist theories of affect, violence, memory, film, and visual culture. Her current book project examines the relationship between media and the emotional dimensions of perpetual crisis in Lebanon. She is also working on a project concerning how film industries in the Global South are positioned within transnational circuits of financing, production, and circulation. Her work has been featured in Cultural Dynamics, Intercultural Studies, and Post-45.
