Nour Hassan Journalist
Nour Hassan is a writer, creative director, curator, digital content creator, and podcast host. After growing up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Hassan moved to her native Egypt to attend the American University in Cairo and study marketing, creative writing, and film. She began a career in advertising as a copywriter and brand strategist, and went on to work with regional household names such as FP7 and Tarek Nour Communications. She founded the Cairo and Jeddah-based Radical Contemporary in 2017. This creative platform comprises an online magazine and Instagram community advocating for creative youth in the Middle East and North Africa. The platform expanded over the years into a production, PR, and creative consultancy, and now incorporates The Radical Contemporary Podcast, which features artists, writers, designers, chefs, cultural producers, innovators, and dreamers from the MENA region and beyond. Hassan writes for Harper’s Bazaar Art Arabia, CANVAS magazine and Mille World. She has also been a correspondent for The Independent (UK). Radical Contemporary’s projects have been featured in regional publications such as Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Vogue Arabia, and ELLE Arabia. She has collaborated with international and regional brands including PUMA, Nike, OKHTEIN, and Farfetch.
