Marcela Escobar Ugarte, footballer’s daughter, house owner, peasant, and social leader, has always contributed to the construction and reconstruction of the social fabric in her village of “Pullally”, borough of Papudo, province of Petorca, constantly seeking to improve the quality of life for her countryfolk and raise gender equality. A staunch defender of water and family peasant farming, mother, and wife of a peasant born out of the Agrarian Reform, she is an active member of MODATIMA ‘Water Women’, and formerly of ‘The Water Widows’. Member of the artistic cast of Patricia Domínguez’s ‘The Ballad of the Dry Mermaids’.
