Designer and researcher, Giulia focuses on regenerative design practices by addressing the [agro]ecology of fashion materiality. Their projects explore the complexities of material production and the opportunities that could rise when a regenerative framework is adopted. Giulia’s process combines a multidisciplinary theoretical analysis with moments of practice-based exploration and activation. The soil ecosystem has been focus and inspiration for the development of composting methods for the fashion industry (Italy, 2023) and also a place for engaging with non-human worlding (Portugal, 2024). Whereas, in their research on ocean ecosystem, algae has been a lens through which to observe alternative ways of co-inhabiting the planet (Sweden, 2024).
