Diego A. Mejía-Alandia, PhD, is an award-winning author and researcher. He has published the books ‘COMA Paralírico’ (Editorial Gente Común, 2009) and ‘Bijeuterie Finee: Un catálogo trans-barroso’ (Plural Editores, 2011). Additionally, he has appeared in poetry anthologies and short story collections. His doctoral dissertation explored the intersections between nostalgia and identity in cinematic representations of former East Germany. Currently, as a Game Culture Researcher, he examines interactive narratives that playfully connect lesser-known national histories with globalized nostalgia built on popular culture and personal memory. This includes representations of post-communist nostalgia and popular history in video games, VR, and digital experiences.
