Carla draws things that matter to her. She draws in context, engaging in processes of accompaniment and graphic listening. She has an artistic practice and works as a teacher and researcher. Carla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville and a Master’s in Communication, Culture, and Digital Citizenship from Medialab Prado and URJC. She is a teacher and the coordinator of the Art Department at BAU, Design College of Barcelona. As a doctoral candidate, she investigates the practice of drawing and its role as a form of documentation in collaborative, memory, and resistance contexts. Carla has participated in projects sensitive to collaborative and experimental learning practices, such as the Collective Architectures Network and MediaLab Prado. She has designed educational materials for the Vostell Malpartida Museum and CCCBLab and has conducted workshops in spaces like MACBA, La Casa Encendida, and UOC. She has served as a jury member and mentored projects for Sala de Art Jove, and for a time, she coordinated content programming for the TV program La aventura de aprender on La 2. Her recent projects focus on practices rooted in the primary sector, such as fishing, agriculture, and shepherding. Carla is returning to printmaking, lithography, and painting.
