Anna Lovecchio Curator
Dr Anna Lovecchio is a curator and art historian based in Singapore. Since September 2016, she is Curator of the Residencies Programme at NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, an international platform that places a distinct emphasis on the process of artistic research rather than on its product. She has worked with over 120 international artists and curators and developed projects with artists such as siren eun young jung, Fyerool Darma, Lucy Davis, Robert Zhao Renhui, Sonya Lacey, Michael Lee, Luca Lum, Irwan Ahmett, and Tita Salina. At the Centre, she co-curated the exhibition The Making of an Institution (2017) together with Ute Meta Bauer and Anca Rujoiu. Previously, she was Junior Curator at Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art in Genoa, Italy, where she has worked on solo exhibitions by Tomás Saraceno, Tony Conrad, Susan Philipsz, Pino Pascali, Julieta Aranda, and Zhang Enli, amongst others. She was Executive Editor of the art journal Around Photography International. She holds a PhD in contemporary art from the University of Bologna, Italy, and an MA in Contemporary Art and Museum Studies from Tufts University, Boston, United States.
